How to Take Care of Your Conservatory

How To Care for Your Conservatory

Purchasing a brand new conservatory can bring many benefits to your home. Have your guests over in the summer and feel proud as they admire your new conservatory. That is why the care for your conservatory is crucial.

Conservatories often get overlooked when it comes to cleaning. Here are some of our tips to keep your extension in top condition.

Ways To Keep Your Home Cool This Summer

Do Not Forget About The Conservatory

As technology improves, the best materials allow you to get more out of your new conservatory. However, regular cleaning, dusting and maintenance will keep your extension looking new.

That is why leaving the maintenance to an annual spring clean is not a good idea. In doing this, you may forget to clean areas or overlook a serious problem that accumulated over months of neglect. Therefore, if you do not use the conservatory throughout the winter, make sure you keep cleaning.

Inspect The Conservatory Top To Bottom

Conservatories are not difficult to keep maintained. However, over time conservatories can collect dirt and debris, so they will need to be regularly checked inside and outside. It is also worth checking the roof to look for gaps and breaks.

Keep Your Feet On The Floor

When cleaning conservatory roof, it is always best to keep your feet on the ground. Conservatories made from glass and other materials can break. Instead, opt for a tool that will allow you to reach and clean the roof safely from the ground. An extendable handle with a sponge and water is an excellent way to get hard to reach places.

If you do not feel comfortable cleaning your conservatory, it is best to consult with a specialist cleaner.

Take Your Time

Work from one side of the conservatory roof to the other side. Apply plenty of soapy, warm water to help loosen dirt and residue. Rub harder with the sponge to help lift stains where needed. Do not use abrasive products on the glass as this may scratch the glass. Finish off by rinsing the conservatory windows with water to prevent smears.
