What Are RAL Colours?
RAL colours are a specialised range of colours created by the RAL colour Institute. Furthermore, they invented RAL colours to represent various coloured plastics, paints, varnishes and more. The RAL colour chart is now a standard chart used for choosing colours in the industry.
Who Invented RAL Colours?
The National Committee for Delivery and Quality Assurance invented forty colours categorised as “RAL 840” in 1927. With this new system, identifying colours by a number would prove beneficial. However, sometime in the 1930s, they decided to regiment the number system to four digits, as it is today. During the 1960s, RAL colours evolved to have supplementary names to avoid any confusion. For instance, RAL 3020 is also Traffic red as it is the closest colour to red traffic lights.
What Are The Benefits Of A RAL Colour?
