Traditional Edwardian Conservatory

The Edwardian is an elegant rectangular-shaped conservatory with a four-sided pitched roof. These are some of the most popular uPVC conservatories that create an extra living space in your home.

Lean-To Glass Conservatories

The Lean-To is a stylish bespoke styled extension that suits most properties. They are usually made from glass and are an excellent way to update your property. Whether you are looking for a uPVC lean-To conservatory or a brick conservatory St Helens Windows can help you today.

P Shaped Garden Conservatories

A P-Shape garden conservatory allows you to appreciate your garden area with its double-glazed bay-style window design. The spacious P shape combines all the best features of the Edwardian and Victorian style extensions.

T-shaped designs offer a large living area with a central bay that is usually a curved shape. These conservatories are well suited to larger homes and can vastly increase the living space at the side of the property.

The Popular Victorian Extension

The Victorian conservatory is a period-style extension that can be designed for any property. Like Edwardian, Victorian extensions are a common choice that will look great on almost any home.

   Frequently Asked Conservatory Questions

The majority of conservatories do not need planning permission. That is because they fall under the bracket of permitted development. There are a variety of factors that affect planning permission. However, we can help if you need planning. We have a team of experts on hand to help make the process as stress-free as possible.

A conservatory needs to have a solid foundation, similar to a house. That is because it is an extension of the living space in your property. Without foundations, your conservatory would be prone to moving and falling. That is why a foundation is crucial and comes as part of our building process.

If you want to know more about how we lay our foundations, get in contact with our team. Call 01744 611 203 to find out more.

Although uPVC conservatories are a popular choice, we can also offer Aluminium conservatories. Our uPVC designs will have a similar look to the majority of the extensions you will see. However, we can make each design unique to your preferences.

On the other hand, our Aluminium conservatories have a slimmer framework. These conservatories are a stylish choice and are easy to maintain.

A correctly built conservatory can last for years with the right care and maintenance. When we design your extension, our team will be able to take you through the things you need to know to ensure your conservatory stands the test of time.

Conservatories tend to feature less brickwork and come with a large area of windows. Orangeries, on the other hand, look similar to an extension. We tend to build our orangeries with brick, and they are perfect with a lantern roof. That boosts the natural light in your home.

Yes, you can spread the cost of your conservatory into manageable monthly payments. This makes it easier to invest in your home without paying everything up front.

Benefits Of A New Conservatory

Contemporary conservatories can be built with a lightweight tile roof option, helping regulate room temperature during the winter and summer months.

Our conservatories, extensions, and sunrooms are also available with a choice of roofing systems, from traditional glass roofs that maximise natural light to modern, energy-efficient lightweight tiled roofs designed for year-round comfort and performance.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An absolutely exceptional experience from start to finish. The quality of both the products and the service has been unrivalled, and every single member of the team has been a genuine pleasure to deal with. Alan in Sales was fantastic — knowledgeable, helpful and professional throughout. Kierra in Billing was equally brilliant and made everything straightforward and easy. A special mention has to go to the fitting team, Ewan and Tyler. Their workmanship was of an exceptional standard, and their professionalism was second to none. They were a joy to have around — polite, respectful, tidy and clearly took great pride in what they do. The finished windows look fantastic, and the quality is outstanding. From the initial sales process right through to the fitting and aftercare, the whole experience has been first class. We honestly couldn’t recommend this company highly enough. Exceptional people, exceptional products and exceptional service — absolutely delighted with the result!

We had replacement windows throughout and a new front door from St Helens Windows, installed on June 8, 2026. Everything went brilliantly from the very start - from when the rep Alan came to measure and price (who was not at all pushy, just very nice and helpful), from phone calls and communications with the company, to the actual installation. All excellent. The team arrived on time - Ewan and Tyler - and got stuck in promptly with enthusiasm. The whole process took only two days. At the same time the company installed a new front door for my son at another local address, and he was equally happy with the entire process. I would not hesitate to use the company again in the future for any further work required and would wholeheartedly recommend them. Thank you once again to all at St Helens Windows.
